In today’s post, I am sharing a list of books, podcasts, and videos that have been instrumental to my journey through the liminal space. These resources have helped me deepen understanding on topics I was already familiar with and learn new concepts to expand my learning.

I read this book in 2024, but this is an excellent book for those interested in understanding qigong and what it is capable of healing. The book includes numerous stories from Lee Holden’s students over the decades of his teaching and practice – stories of healing anything from hangovers to leukemia through qigong practice.
This is the first qigong practice video I used to practice regularly and I think it’s a great video for beginners. I chose a few of the exercises to remember for a 10-minute daily flow that I practiced for many months.
Nick Loffree is my qigong teacher I am currently learning from and taking his class to get my Level 1 certification through. He has a huge library of excellent videos available on his YouTube channel.
For those of us who may have a hard time believing in things that cannot be proven by physical evidence, this podcast interview might blow your mind. Dr. Lisa Miller shares scientific evidence from MRI scans and studies that really start to blur the lines between spirituality and science. She also shares some personal stories of synchronicities and spiritual moments that I found very inspiring.
I already admire Brené Brown and find her work educational and inspiring, but I was so motivated by this personal, recent interview with her touches on topics of paradox (in a similar context as to what I’ve been writing about when I talk about the Third Way.)
I am not quite finished with this book, but I feel like everyone I know should read this book. This is the most thought provoking and clarifying book I have read in 2025. If you are in a liminal space, read this. If you are unsure why you are here, read this. It includes well-researched stories about every day people as well as famous people like Henry David Thoreau, Beethoven, Harriet Tubman, Susan B. Anthony, and more. I love this book and highly recommend it.
There are many episodes on this podcast that relate to dharma, particularly discussions about a common blocker to living our dharma – our human struggle with addiction to the internet. If you know you are here on this planet to do something bigger than your current reality, this podcast will guide you toward telling yourself the truth and changing your story. Check out the older episodes called The Shimmer Series as well as the episode called Dharma Sprints and Death Cookies.
I am listening to this book for the third time right now, but the first time I went through it was in 2024. Bridges has one of the most famous books on navigating life’s transitions. He describes transitions as having three parts: first the ending, then the neutral zone (the liminal space) followed by the new beginning. He names various scenarios that might cause feelings of being in a liminal space (without calling it that) and offers a practical way to work through it.
Of course, I’m mentioning The Artist’s Way – this has been the book that helped me release my old identities, nurture my inner artist, and learn to see that I was created to create. (And I believe we all are!) This book goes much deeper than creativity and will help you change your life.
This book has similar guidance and exercises as what you might find in The Artist’s Way, but Amie McNee has a completely different way of inspiring others and offering guidance for creators. She is funny, curses, and is clearly passionate about helping others see how important their art is to the rest of the world.
For a shorter introduction to the concepts in Amie McNee’s book, We Need Your Art, watch her TED Talk. Incredibly inspiring and motivating.
