Day 54/100 has been a creative day! I have been working all day on my submission into the contest I mentioned last week, so today’s post is just a quick share about that experience.
100 Liminal Days is an experimental project of embracing my current transitional season after exiting my business by sharing an honest, real-time account of my self-initiation experience in daily posts. I’m using The Artist’s Way as a guiding tool, and sending shorter weekly recaps only via my newsletter. A few weeks ago when I recognized a need to shift from soul excavation into creative expression, I didn’t know how much that conscious decision would activate my creativity. I’ve been creating in lots of different ways – making birthday cards for family, painting some little changes to my goat skull piece, and writing a script for a video I’m making to submit my artwork into a contest in a couple of weeks. I’m really excited about sharing art that touches on several ways I like to create: painting, writing, and speaking.
The project assignment is to create a piece of art from a dream and then share in video format about the dream, the art, and what we learned from the process. I’ve decided to share a dream I had in May 2025 about seeing a lioness coming towards me and pressing up against a flimsy glass door – the only thing separating me from her. I was afraid in the dream, but now I see that the lioness – this part of me – delivered a message that helped me prepare for this big moment when I would preach at my church three months later.

This might be cheating a bit on my post, but I’m keeping this as a short basic update since I spent the entire day working on the video recording and edits. Once the project is complete, I’ll share it here.
Weekly recaps of 100 Liminal Days are emailed on Tuesdays only to my newsletter subscribers. If you want the summaries, share your email here to get on the list. You’ll also instantly receive a free Notion template I use every single day to track my habits and reflect on the day.
