Today’s post feels forced, but I guess that’s just what is going on with me this week for the most part. I am lacking inspiration for what to write now that I’ve stopped “excavating”, and although I’ve done some creative expression, it’s less than I want to do. This post is mostly to help me get my creative juices flowing!
100 Liminal Days is an experimental project of embracing my current transitional season after exiting my business by sharing an honest, real-time account of my self-initiation experience in daily posts. I’m using The Artist’s Way as a guiding tool, and sending shorter weekly recaps only via my newsletter. Visit Day 1/100 to learn more and sign up to get the weekly recaps delivered to your inbox.
It’s rainy and dark outside today, and I feel like my mood is mirroring the weather. I’m looking at some art projects in progress and thinking about several birthdays coming up next week, which means I have birthday cards to make!
Something new I’ve been doing for the last year is using paint markers or watercolor pencils to decorate birthday cards for some of my closest friends and family. I think I’ll set up a little art station at the dining table tonight and just see what comes out. Emily, my sister, and my mom all have birthdays next week! Here are some of the cards I’ve created over the last year.

After my qigong teacher training this morning, I went to Canopy’s open studios with a friend. It was inspiring to talk to some of the artists and just be in that creative energy for an hour. I am starting to feel more comfortable identifying as an artist. When I see other artists, I think about how courageous they are to make their art and to share it. I’m making more art and sharing a little. Later this month, I’m entering one of my artworks in a contest and will be sure to share about that soon! 🙂
Weekly recaps of 100 Liminal Days are emailed on Tuesdays only to my newsletter subscribers. If you want the summaries, share your email here to get on the list. You’ll also instantly receive a free Notion template I use every single day to track my habits and reflect on the day.
If you’re used to operating at a high level but feel mentally overloaded, constantly “on,” or slightly disconnected from your natural clarity—this is for you.
Each week, I share:
Simple qigong practices to regulate your nervous system
Reflections on clarity, focus, and sustainable performance
Practical ways to reduce internal friction and think more clearly
This isn’t about doing more.
It’s about removing what’s in the way.
