Today’s post is a video guiding through a specific qigong sequence I designed to support us on our journey through transitional territory. When we are no longer who we were or who we are becoming, we might feel lost. We may lose our sense of time and self. But we can restore our inner compass with daily practices for inner balance work, mixed with some heavy work for discovering our authentic purpose.
100 Liminal Days is an experimental project of embracing my current transitional season after exiting my business by sharing an honest, real-time account of my self-initiation experience in daily posts. I’m using The Artist’s Way as a guiding tool, and sending shorter weekly recaps only via my newsletter. Visit Day 1/100 to learn more and sign up to get the weekly recaps delivered to your inbox.
Over the last several days, I have been writing about how we can restore the soul’s proprioception, a term I am using to describe our ability to sense who we are, what we want, and where we are going. I have written four posts, and Part IV included a liminal space qigong-informed framework providing some practical guidance for how to bring our inner GPS back online.
The Liminal Days Qigong Sequence
Because I believe the body holds a lot of wisdom when we attune to it, today’s share is in video format and teaches a 12-minute sequence of qigong flows you can use to physically embody the work you may be doing mentally and emotionally while in a liminal space. If you are in an in-between time of life, try this short qigong practice as a way to bring more balance and inner peace for your journey.
Release old, stagnant Qi (life energy) to make room for new energy
Stabilize by grounding, syncing with your authentic self, and creating spatial awareness in your inner world
Cultivate a connection with Heaven, Nature, and Earth as eternal wisdom and timing you can anchor yourself to when life feels untethered
Integrate your experiences to increase vitality and life force, while simultaneously returning to inner stillness and stability
Try practicing daily for a week to see if it helps you recalibrate your inner compass. If you do, let me know how it goes!
