This qigong practice is designed to help you harmonize with the summer solstice and support the transition from yang to yin energy.
If you’ve been running hot all season (busy, social, constantly on, or literally and physically hot!), this is the reset. This practice works with fire and water element movements from traditional qigong to help you cool down, settle in, and move with the season instead of against it.
Good for: heat, agitation, hot-headedness, that low-grade irritability that shows up when you’ve been overdoing it.
Filmed in my backyard in Austin, where summer doesn’t let up for a while, so learning to work with the heat rather than fight it is a practical skill.
Filmed June 2026 in Austin, TX.
If this resonates, I share a weekly note called Fresh Qi — stories from my own life and practice, a short guided movement video, and something worth thinking about on focus, steady presence, and doing good work without losing yourself. Sign up here for emails on Tuesdays.
