2026 #4 Qigong Practice: Wood Element for Balance and Renewal

In this practice, we explore the Wood Element and its connection to the liver meridian, embodying the qualities of spring energy: growth, flexibility, and upward expansion.

The Wood Element governs kindness and compassion when in balance, but can manifest as anger, frustration, and stress when blocked or stagnant. If you’ve been feeling angst or stress lately, this gentle qigong practice offers a pathway back to balance. I invite you to embody the characteristics of the Wood Element as you move: imagine yourself as flexible as bamboo bending in the wind, as rooted and expansive as a tree, as adaptable and resilient as nature itself.

This practice is designed to help you release tension, restore flow, and reconnect with your natural capacity for kindness and renewal.
